Garden Of Dreams

I dream of a place so beautiful, where I walk in a garden covered in the roses I let bloom. I grow Azalia’s and Hibiscuss. Centaury and Stars of Bethlehem. I dye my world and become anew.
I watch my dream unfold. I see who I am becoming, I look so different. I am big, expanded, infinite. I see where I begin but not where I end. I am no longer walking in the garden. My footsteps become puddles of water and my whole body drips slowly into the soil and comes to be one with the earth.
The garden is enclosed by a hedge excepting one wooden entrance, decoratively hewn. My old self is asked to walk through the doorway if I can. I try, but I cannot. Instead I stop directly underneath. My hands touch the rough wooden pilars on my sides. I stand there like a god.  I am told I am in the portal. I am not where I was, nor where I am going, I am in the portal, seeing only what is in front of me as I have stepped out of the old world of my own formation.
In my mind’s eye I can see myself stepping forward on this path, into the hands of my expanded Self. I am picked up from the grass and carried eye to eye with this being. I am taken into the heart.

There I dissolve.

To see the world in a grain of sand
and a heaven in a wildflower
To hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour

- William Blake
